Taking a while to get use to it in my pro street 63 Falcon. Positive, strong materials, and I like the visual. Both the way it looks over my old 69 Mustang shifter and the gear indicating pointer. I may upgrade my rating to a 5 after a few months of getting use to it? A shorter throw might improve it further.

Make the shifter vehicle specific and reduce all the surplus parts that you do not need. This might bring down the cost some. You're going to need a plate to mount the shifter to, to stabilize it. mounting the flat shifter bottom to a round drive shaft tunnel just doesn't cut it. That should be included in the mounting hardware.

I'm very pleased with it but they seem work better on all of my GM Turbo trans for some reason. Never tried it on a ford. It came with all the hardware need for installation and it's a great shifter, but again, not quite perfect on my Chrysler 727. When u consider the price break from Hurst, It's a great value and still looks great. I didn't use the housing that came with the shifter because I installed in a console. As you can see, I also changed the shifter handle to one that I made to fit my hand perfectly. The Handle supplied looks and works fine - I just needed something larger. The pics I supplied are of the exact same "Star Shifter" listed here.

It does work on a 1994 mustang but I had to take my center console out which isn’t a big deal I’m sure I could cut it to fit but didn’t feel like it I just wish the black base that covers the shifter had a flat bottom so it could be screwed down because it’s just sitting over it at the moment. 10/10
