While this is obviously not a high-end unit, I still find it to be a good value. I had heard about issues with the supplies in these having isolation issues, so I plugged it into a small isolation transformer. Not a big deal. I use it to provide a driving signal for testing XY monitors and it produces lovely Lissajous patterns that are very stable in frequency, but not altogether free of a tolerable amount of noise. Again, no big deal. For the price, it's a very good function generator.

The generator itself is good but the manual is almost beyond words. It's not just broken English, it's shattered English. The manual was supplied on a CD ROM and when I loaded it I found it was for the model 2200 instead of the 3200. Apparently this is an earlier model. However the screen shots indicate that the two units are almost identical. The wrong model is not the problem. The English is so bad as to be incomprehensible. I still haven't figured out how to use the memory in spite of several readings of that section. I consider myself to be highly intuitive. I can figure out most electronics gear without opening the manual. I own several other function generators and some of what I know I have learned from them. Thus I was able to figure out the frequency, amplitude, offset, phase, and waveform by inspection. Even the sweep function only need a cursory reading of the manual. But the memory and the instructions on its operation have me stumped.Read full review

Unit produces good sine waves. However be careful how it is loaded because of the power switcher used for power. Had some problems with software install. Copy desired item into your computer, do not install from disk.

This thing is alright if your circuit isn't sensitive. Problem is there is no neutral on the plug, hot and ground. This causes a problem on your bnc connector of a almost 50v difference. There is a video on the internet explaining this. So buyer beware, used in America.

Lots of functionality and low cost for what you get. Seems to be pretty accurate based on my scope, and I like the arbitrary wave functionality via the PC software. At high frequency there is some glitchiness however. If you need something that's super solid, spend the extra money on a better generator, but for the money this is surprisingly good.
