Lightweight with great features
I purchased the LapGear MyDesk to use with my laptop. It is raised enough that it makes it easier to see my laptop. The slant is just enough that it also makes it easier to see my laptop. The bottom of the tray is soft and has supports on the top and bottom, leaving the middle to let air circulate. My only con is I thought it had a fan to keep my laptop cool. But it doesn't. I do a lot of crafts and I have found the MyDesk to be great desktop for doing them. There are two slots at the top of the tray-open areas which allow me to keep tools that I might need to assist with the particular craft I am working on at the time. The raised pads on the bottom and the slant of the tray make it just the right tray for this task. I would recommend the MyDesk for anyone whose laptop has an internal fan (my laptop is about 5-6 years old and the internal fan does not work anymore). It also has a handle so it is easy to move from one place to another. I can put the MyDesk across my grandson's lap to serve him lunch or it makes for a good top to use for him to draw and color. The width and length are also just the right size. And most of all the price is right. It comes in a variety of colors if you want it to blend in with your other decorations in they room you will be using it in. It is completely portable so you can use it in the car when you are a passenger for your laptop or for writing letters, etc. Again the MyDestt is also the right size for a 4+ child to use for their writing or drawing. Handy workspace
Keep one in car/truck for use when a firm, flat workspace is needed. It doubles as a food tray for times I eat in the truck. I also keep one next to the bed for late night reading or computing. Smaller than some others, but that turns out to be an advantage, given my uses for it. Should last for many years.

Very good, not perfect in my opinion.
It is well made and is pretty comfortable. I would have given it 5 stars if it had some sort of lip to prevent pens, etc from sliding off. It has a fairly rough surface to prevent the laptop from sliding around though. I feel it is well worth the price.
