In the single-player campaign mode, you play primarily as Logan, one of the Ghosts, as you progress through the storyline. Groups can also play the game on the Xbox One in multiplayer mode and compete with each other over an internet connection.The campaign finds the player infiltrating enemy lines in the South American jungle. Here they carry out a black ops campaign to stop The Federation from deploying LOKI, an orbital weapon of mass destruction that is capable of unleashing terror upon the United States. The main antagonist is Rorke, a former friend of Logan's father and a former Ghost. He was kidnapped and brainwashed by the Federation to hunt down and exterminate the Ghosts. Unique to this title, players get to control Riley, a German Shepherd owned by Logan and his brother, Hesh, at one point of the game.This title in the Call of Duty series has a ton of online modes to choose from. A number of innovations are introduced to the game to bring the player a new level of excitement. New killstreak rewards are introduced, and female soldiers are playable for the first time. The biggest innovation can be found in its new multiplayer modes. The first new mode is Squads, which allows a team of up to 10 customizable characters to compete in three different modes of combat. The squad can be populated with either human or AI party members, so the squad scenarios can be played solo as well. A second new mode is called Extinction. This four-player co-op mode pits players against a horde of invading aliens called Cryptids. Essentially a base-defense combat, this mode takes place on five different maps, four of which are available as downloadable content. Extinction functions as a second campaign with a story independent of the main campaign, and the story is concluded at the end of the fifth DLC map."Call of Duty: Ghosts" has a rating of M for blood, drug references, intense violence, and strong language. The game is alright. Sometimes the buttons don’t work, we have to exit the game and go back in for them to register. Which gets annoying. The game looks good but randomly the screen glitches. Other than that, this game is good for the price.
Multiplayer is worth it, although the campaign is lacking.
Multiplayer is really improved compared to the previous game in the series, including new gamemodes and weapons that make the game more challenging and exciting. However, the downward slope of the campaign quality continues... and it looks like it will continue to. Early Call of Duty games focused around historical events, while the recent iterations take place in the future for quite a bit of the time; this is interesting for multiplayer gameplay with futuristic maps and weapons, but the storyline seems like the style you'd see in a 3D action thriller where the only purpose is to show you how many things can explode and how much cool technology they've thought of for you to use.
If you have Xbox Live Gold or some friends/family to play locally with, go for it. If you enjoy multiplayer settings in singleplayer, go for it. If you want a great campaign mode, try Call of Duty 1, 2, 3, or the Modern Warfare series and skip this and the other newer games in the series.Read full review
Excellent game play, multi-player, and decent graphics.
The product was excellent like i had expected. Various multiplayer maps, excellent online experience, and the story line can be tough as nails all the way to calm as a 12 year old dog depending on the level of difficulty. I have this for the xbox 360 and loved playing online with my friends and now that we all have the One this is still the game of choice. I still wish the activision had the zombies feature but the new zombie-like campaign is decent.
