Most PSP batteries these days are terrible, they advertise much larger capacity than the actual cells, and have very poor battery life. This one, while not perfect, at least has good battery life, close to what I would expect from the stated capacity. My biggest issue with it is that the remaining capacity reporting is goofy. I get maybe 7 hours of use but the remaining capacity jumps around a lot. It also runs out unexpectedly quickly once it gets low. My guess is the battery controller isn't very good.

I hunted and hunted for a replacement battery for my PSP 1001 and all I found was disappointment. Most of what you find on Amazon are knock-offs that have terrible reviews. I was leery of getting something from ebay because of horror stories, but I found this seller offering original Sony-made PSP 1000 series batteries "brand new", and figured I'd take a leap of faith.
