The heat from this one is great. The Model 55 is the way to go if you need serious heat fast to the muscles. Others, I'm not sure if it's the 155 etc, that have a different internal covering that makes the heat less intense...the wife has one that she complains doesn't get hot enough, but this one...gets hot, fast and in a hurry. Been without one for several months after the switch broke, so I'm glad I was able to get one at a decent price...even with paying for faster shipping. Had different purchase sent by USPS mail that took over a month to get here, so no way I'm voting by mail. :) This one even arrived a day earlier than stated..very happy with product and purchase.

This pad is great for chronic pain sufferers. It gets really hot and that gets the heat in down deep where it is needed. The pad is large enough to cover a large area. An example is across your entire upper back and across the neck area all at the same time. Get the one with the hand-held "trigger," as it will be released if you fall asleep, eliminating the possibility of burns. This is my third one in a 20-year period. The first one lasted for years. The second one lasted for about three years. When they go out, the problem lies with the circuit board in the thermostat. So ... keep the box and your receipt, as there is a two year warrantee on these items.
