The CPU is FAST! For the power it consumes it achieves great results. A single thread PassMark 1642 and an multi thread PassMark of 6534. Perfect and cheap upgrade for the HP G8 Microserver. Simply removed the existing 2 Core Celeron and dropped in this 4 core (8 logical cores) Xenon replacement. Includes a small packet of thermal compound so nothing additional required. Runs within couple of degrees of the Celeron using just the same passive CPU cooler. I have not ran a full stress test to see if the stock cooler will be able to cope with all cores at 100% for an extended period but for normal server loads it has so far been flawless.

2.4GHz is only it's base clock when cooling doesn't allow for its 3.2ghz turbo and mostly at turbo. 3.2GHz on 4 cores and 8 threads is fine for me.

A little project! A tiny P.C. with a dreadful CPU, upgrade to one of these and Max out Ram. Works very well and can boot to login in a couple of seconds! Just for fun project that works very well an is very useable. Gets very warm but no thermal throttling and a thermal margin. Added this CPU+MaxRam + SSD and works very well indeed.
