Required an overnight charge before it was useable for more than a couple of minutes. Now it is all charged up and working better than any other vacuum cleaner we own. I've owned this refurbished V8 for about a week and used it a number of times. It functions as I'd expect. I love all the different attachments and it works on high pile carpet (which my other Dyson upright vacuum struggles to clean). Because it's easily portable I take it to vacuum my car or my kitchen counters or anywhere that a regular sized vacuum would be awkward. I do feel like the large plastic mounting piece feels flimsy for what it's supposed to support, but I'm not going to mount my vacuum so I haven't really tested it.

The vacuum is all there, and works really good, I have a v10 myself, so this v 8 is different for sure but will work fine in the rental house,and i am less worried it will be stolen. The head makes a rattle noise, and if it’s on max power it hoots. Like air blowing over a bottle. It empties the bin differently than the more expensive one, but it works fine for its application, I am pleased with the price. Also it was used as a demo, it looks good, slightly used but not dirty.
