This is a Great laptop at the price, a steal almost, but even better with a few cheap and easy upgrades. It has 8 gig of ram in a single channel configuration ,I added another 8 gig so it runs in dual channel now, significantly faster. Took out the 1 terabyte HDD and added another NVMe SSD, this makes room for a bigger battery 80 watt/hrs, instead of 60. Far better battery life, and the drive is on the order of 30 times faster. All easy to do and only spent around $75 as I had a NMVe drive on hand and bought open box Crucial RAM and open box OUWEE battery here on eBay. OUWEE is a top quality battery, as good as factory battery, beware of cheap batteries. That leaves only the display separating this laptop from the best. The stock display has only 42% NTSC color gamut, it cannot accurately display all colors, although this is very common. Out of the box, the color rendition is horrible, unacceptable. If you do a Windows display calibration it is OK, acceptable. I intend to upgrade the display to a 144Hz, 300 nit display with 72% color gamut, or to a 500nit HDR display. This will cost $150 to near $200, but will elevate this laptop to EXCELLANT, comparable to the best functionally. Read full review

Coming from a dinosaur 2011 Macbook Pro, this thing makes miracles happen. The specs are great considering how affordable it is. I do photo-editing, music production/sound design, as well as some light gaming. I feel pretty comfortable throwing whatever I want at it since it seems to handle it all so effortlessly. I hardly ever hear the fans turn on! It's relatively bulky for a laptop, and the battery life is on the shorter side, so that might bother some people. Personally those things don't affect me. I can still fit it in my backpack and always have a source of power nearby. The design is real "mature" looking, considering it's designed as a gaming laptop. Most of the Legion 5's peers look like they run on Mountain Dew Gamer Fuel. It's design is elegant and practical overall. Having most of the ports on the backside was a feature I never knew I needed. Another neat thing is the built-in webcam cover. Why isn't this a more common feature? A lot of pleasant surprises here. I'm happy with the purchase and expect to get many years out of this thing.Read full review

Even by today's standards, these computers are excellent. It's a 2012 model that includes USB 3. While it doesn't have an SSD included, it does have lots of ports and a DVD drive that can easily be replaced with an SSD, and an enclosure for the DVD drive can be purchased to connected via USB for $20 or less. In my opinion, the 2012-2015 computers like this are better than the newer ones. There is little difference between the specs on this and the newest units when it comes to speed (other than the SSD), and I prefer the extra ports and sturdy construction to the thinner, lighter, newer models that don't have as much easy connectivity. I highly recommend computers like this over newer models, especially if you can find them lightly or never used like this one.

Bought this as a step in for desktop but I'm travelling to school and sometimes abroad and I want the performance, so this is perfect it runs all my games at high fps, it can also manage my huge programming projects, and it is fast. To give context I mainly play Destiny 2 which does take a lot of ram in some areas, the 120Hz screen is really responsive and advantageous for esports titles and the backlit keyboard makes it easy to type in low lit places. My recommendation is to upgrade the RAM asap, you have no idea how quickly 8GB of ram is used up.

I was looking for a gaming laptop to take places and play light games. This more than does the trick - with the tb hard drive it holds everything I want to play, and the 120hz screen is great for esports titles and even ff14! It’s a little loud, but all gaming laptops are ... and when it’s not gaming it can be really quiet. I upgraded the RAM, and it’s very annoying to do so, so that’s my only real complaint.

The Lenovo Legion is a nice gaming PC. It's not super premium, there are other more expensive models, but it's nothing bad nonetheless. A very solid laptop I've been very satisfied with so far.

This an excellent laptop for gaming and everything you need. It’s very fast and the price was excellent. The only problem is that the battery doesn’t last long. But still is a good laptop.

An affordable gaming laptop that looks nice and works just fine for all emulators and like 99.9% of whatever is in your Steam library. It’s not a super duper powerhouse, but it gets the job done for a good price.

Great gaming and general use laptop. No issues with laptop itself, just usps that struggled to get here as they were a week late.
