Brilliant headphones with amazing sound, great sound cancelling and lots of features.
Fantastic sound and noise cancellation, light and comfortable, however my massive ears cause a 'woffing' noise if I try to walk with them. Probably not going to be an issue for everyone, but I would try them first just in case. Please note also that I tried these in a local store, and the default setup they had for them was AWFUL, the identical headphones on my desk sounded much better, so never trust a shop demo...! I tried the ones my coworker had, and I was so impressed with the sound and the noise cancelling of the office A/C that I LITERALLY sat down on my PC and bought my own pair within 5 minutes. Apparently better than the BOSE QuietComfort 2 in every way other than walking comfort (did not try). One thing - they sounded a bit bassy by default, this was easily remedied with the phone app's EQ.Read full review
Got this headphone a few days ago mainly due to the hype about it. These are my initial impressions. The headphone comes with a case, which is great. Aesthetically, it looks good. The build seems solid, and the headphone is also comfortable to wear. The headphone has some nice features, e.g. it has an NFC chip, which means you can turn on/off the headphone by placing your phone close to the left cup of the headphone if your phone has NFC. The right cup is touch enabled. You can move your finger up/down to increase/decrease the volume, or swipe forward/backward to skip tracks. Noise cancellation is good. I've heard some people complaining the latest firmware update made noise cancellation worse, but I can't confirm. I have to say I'm not quite sold on the sound. In terms of dynamics it's a bit lacking, and the bass is not as clean as i would've liked. Soundwise I expected more for the price.Read full review
Absolutely brilliant! Smart features and design mean you can do a lot without having to touch your phone. The app is great. So many options for assistance with Alexa etc. Awesome on transportation, especially on airplanes and cruise ship. Took them on holiday an were excellent for portability, sound quality, noise cancellation. I have the previous model and the Bose QCII’s & recommend these overall.
great noise cancelling. the sony android app is better than expected as it does want to vacuum your data up. no permissions ! incredible and highly unexpected. thanks sony, for once you're the good guys. some weird noises while used on the move, but once not moving the noise cancelling is second to none. music quality is also right up there for NC phones.
sony have a 'home run' on their hands with these.
one single complaint. i have a big head, with big dumbo ears. the cups are just a little on the snug side, but the trade off (no noise) is well worth it.

They are very, very good. A 'Goldilocks' sound signature. Not too detailed, bright, or bassy. Just middle of the road, all round, great sounding cans, perfect for all day use. Well balanced enough to take on pretty much all music types.
Easy to use swipe controls that only took me a few practices to get the hang of, has great battery life, and the app is pretty amazing as well.
These are a little smaller than most other over ear cans, but in this case that's a plus as it means you forget they are there. Incredibly light, super soft and comfy🤗 and they don't fall off.
Easily one of the best sounding 'daytime' or 'portable' headphones around today, with the best anc (which I didn't care much for ... until I used it...omg it's goood!!!)
In a quiet environment one 'might' use bigger corded cans - maybe some ath900's, sein650, or mono1060's...or whatever floats your critical listening boat, but any noise around, just bang on the mx3's)
