For those not already familiar, this is a not a cheap plastic model or kit. It's a precision-crafted diecast metal model, with opening doors, hood, and trunk, detailed engine and interior, and the steering wheel actually turns the front wheels! All wheels rotate freely, but this is more of a collectible than a toy. It includes two different tops so it can be displayed with the top up or down. These models come inside a fitted styrofoam "clamshell" away from dust and sunlight, and an outer box to keep out dust, light, etc. The specialized packaging was for protection of these largely hand assembled pieces, and is essential for safe shipment or transport. Sadly, the Chinese no longer make models like these for the Franklin Mint, the Danbury Mint, and others, as the labor costs long ago became prohibitively high. The quality and the weight are superb, and would impress and delight anyone who ever drove one in real life. These originally come complete with Paperwork, and Hang Tag. The original shipping box may have some shelf wear, which is perfectly acceptable for these models.
