The heat is good, although it takes a while to reach operating temperature. Tha massage is gentle, with only one speed. The only mode choices are heat alone, massage alone, or heat and massage together.

I own quite a few HoMedics products, this is definitely not one of their finest. Nice looking, but very low power and lightweight. I'm not very impressed with the vibration strength nor the infrared heat. Even the attachments are very lightweight and flimsy feeling. This doesn't turn me off to Homedics, but definitely not one of their best offerings and I would not recommend it unless you want something with very low vibration strength and dull heat.
