I was SO frustrated with my old digital clock radio! It would do a hundred things, if ONLY you could figure out the correct sequence of buttons - which I NEVER could! Buying this Sony ICF-CIT was an attempt to get the basic clock and radio features I wanted AND be able to actually use them. Aha! Success! Set it right up, set alarms, tuned radio stations, no problemo. Now, if you're a milennial, you may not care about all this. But, if you're a grown-up, you're going to be thrilled that you can actually use it. Also: Nice, clean look, compact size, glow-in-the-dark numerals that are bright enough to see, but not so bright that they keep you awake. I believe the clock I received may be new old stock - that is, maybe sat in a warehouse for a while. But I had absolutely no problems with that, and everything works perfectly. I love my little cube alarm/radio clock. It has great sound quality, and it is not too hard to set, but I keep the instructions underneath it until I get used to it. I saw some complaints that the display was too bright at night, but I do not find that to be an issue.
