Problem solver. This adapts an old style large socket to take a modern bulb. My only criticism is that some LED bulbs don't have a long enough "neck" to work in this socket. It could have been designed a little differently to accommodate more different bulbs, but plenty will fit just fine.

Attention buyer: The adapter is very nice, very well made BUT only incandescent bulbs will work / LED, fluorescent bulbs are too large to go down it the adapter and make contact with the inside pin to work. If you have a grinder you will figure out what needs to be done for it to work properly. Other than that they work great. I'm a 74 year utility lineman and never had trouble screwing in a light bulb until now? Hope this might help someone? Happy Holidays

Fits and works for a split second, but light bulb shuts off because Mogul lamp has a ballast the starts up the mogul bulb. Using a standard bulb with on a mogul lamp will not work. So you will need to bypass the ballast, I think. At least, with LED mogul bulb, you need to bypass the ballast before being able to use. So it's not a simple plug-and-play. There is no instruction that suggested bypassing the ballast

I was very happy to find this item. Great item for the antique floor lamp to fit a light bulb into it. Save money, time and easy to do.

It really works in an era when magnum light bulbs are hard to find in any affordability. Use it every day. Thanks. Rich
