I’ve been spinning for over 20 years and I have on nearly every piece of equipment you can get your hands on. The thing I like about these is you’re not sucked into all the technology that everybody is gaggling about. The only thing it is missing is hard to use that would be amazing. But when you hook it up to record box and your computer via USB it is an advanced midi controller that is quite amazing. That way you can get your hot cue points with an XP1. The reason why I said makes you feel like a real DJ is because when you’re not tied up with all that technology and let you feel the music and you remember your music more instead of relying on visual feedback. For this reason they remind me of the CD J 800 which was rocksolid for years. You do have to have two identical thumb drives because it does not have a link feature but that’s ok too.
