My 23 yr old motorhome used this 3rd brake light, but the part number was for prior years. I ordered it anyway and it fit perfectly, so I am thinking that the only difference between this one and the earlier years is the electrical connector. I had to cut that off anyway to make the connection. If you are buying this for a Ford van though, you should get the one that is correct for your model year. My old brake light was showing it's age and the reason for replacing it.
