Good quality sound with deep bass & bright, clear highs. Long battery life & ease of operation. Tried several other brands, my JBL Charge 5 is the best yet.

Great speaker but affected with my optical mouse.
The sound is great, I love JBL products, but I sadly realized that the sound quality is affected by my optical mouse. When I was using for the first time my JBL speaker I suddenly notices that the sound was terrible, as if there was a false-contact in the sepaker, so I increased and reduced the volume trying to isolate the problem but I didn't notice any change. So I decided to use my JBL partybox on-the-go instead, and no problem at all, and no other speaker had failed in terms of sound quality, only my new Charge5. Then, I thought that my bluetooth dongle could be causing such a failure but when I turned off my optical mouse I realized that the sound became great such as in the other speakers. I tried several times this test with the mouse and my JBL and I was convinced that my optical mouse interferes with my JBL Charge5 speaker. Too sad for me, but... what can I do? I will stop using my optical mouse when enjoying my music, or definitely I will use my other speaker, instead. But... great sound, anyway. I cannot give 5 stars, not even 4 this time.Read full review

Powerful portable speaker
A bit pricey, but it does deliver clear LOUD sound. Great speaker for dummies because it is so easy to use. One charge seems to last forever. Awesome styling & love that it seems to be invincible.

Booming audio quality from a little dynamo.
Seriously clean, well designed, booming audio clarity, and most impressive unit from JBL, once again. The epitome of portable bluetooth speakers when it comes to audio dynamics and overall design elements. The bold new look with JBL emblazoned on the mesh is such an eyecatcher. Can't imagine how JBL would be able to surpass this production model in their next generation line of Charges. Now it is married to my first Charge 5 purchased a week before, and my 2 JBL Flip 5 units for the ultimate stereo effect.

Sound Quality is Awesome!
Not only is the product itself solidly built, but the sound quality is awesome and beyond my wildest expectations. When cranking it up, the entire room is filled with crystal clear high frequencies and booming low frequencies. I have not had any dropouts with the bluetooth and the battery life seems to last forever at normal listening sound levels.
