Pro level features and image quality in a pocket-able point and shoot camera. Just what I was looking for. I like that the screen folds into "armor mode" so you don't have to worry about scratching it in your pocket or camera bag. I like that the Record button is larger and much easier to use than the Record buttons on the RX or A6000 Series. I love the outstanding color quality and the sharpness of the amazing Zeiss zoom lens. This camera hit all the right spots for me, Making quality videos with this camera is a snap.

This camera takes nice pictures, and is everything the various reviewers on the internet say (good pictures, videos, etc). For me, it was not what I wanted. The buttons and knobs are way too small, and my fingers are way too big to manipulate the thing. It is a very small camera, and is so light that it feels like a toy. On a tripod, it won't shake, but in my hands it has no heft at all and shakes too much. The menu system is tedious, especially with the tiny buttons. But the good part is that there is a huge amount of help available on the net, due to the popularity of the camera. I bought an aftermarket grip and it is a lifesaver. Made by Aodelan. It helps with adding a little mass to the whole thing, and if you get this camera get the grip, without a doubt. You need to be careful using this thing. The lens extends about an inch and a half when engaged, and if you accidently have the camera facing down, the motor will try and push the lens out and make the camera do a pushup. I am sure this will damage the lens motor, so watch out! The picture quality is a little better than my cell phone. It can take pictures in moderate lighting, but it gets grainy. I mostly use cameras for tracking myself dancing tango with a partner, and for food photography. I have a Samsung NX10, which became obsolete. And I have a Canon G7. I am not sure that this Sony camera is any better than my old G7. But it is more modern. I think I would have been better off spending the money on lighting and continue using the G7. But the Sony camera is a good product, if you can deal with the tiny controls. Realistically, a good cell phone is about the same as this camera. I think the next step up from a good cell phone is probably a full frame camera with a good lens. Read full review

Excellent camera for the right user. Pocket size, fast lens, excellent 4K video, mic jack. On the downside, no viewfinder, poor battery life, several accessories needed to make it work well.

Fantastic camera, this little fella can do what most full size dslr can’t do, the price is a bit high though, but it’s worth it, u will be happy with it , they have dummy usb battery pack for it for continuous power, which is a plus.

We shoot wedding video and I bought this to shoot off my monopod and be cohesive with the video from my A7iii on a tripod. It's light, easy to use, loaded with features, and makes amazing video. Love the swing-out swivel screen! Only complaint is battery life which can easily be remedied by hooking up a battery pack/charger. It's so much easier to use on my monopod than the A7iii! Update 7-24-21 I bought a 2nd one of these. The video is better than that from my A7iii so I need both cameras I shoot with at weddings to be on the same page. I did a wedding today and took 65 stills with this camera. The photos I took in good light were flawless. The ones I took in poor light with no flash were not usable. Glad I bought it for video. The video in fairly low light at 3200 ISO seems great!

I wish I had bought this 2 years ago. I wish it had more controls, but the image that comes out of it is incredible! It is so compact that I take it everywhere. I always have a camera with me now, and an extra angle when I'm using my full size camera.
