I bought one of these over a year ago, and my parents so admired it I got them one for Christmas this year. It's quite sturdy, and mine is holding up well, although the finish does fade over time and could use a coat of polyurethane occasionally. It can be assembled in a few hours by one, but it's helpful to have two people. Also be aware the finished product is too big to fit through a standard doorway, best to assemble outside.

Windvane fan and rudder assembly is of good quality. The wooden stand assembly was a challenge to assemble between instructions that were incorrect and having to hold nuts in place in a small cavity with your fingertips while starting bolts.The boltholes are not drilled directly across from each other so the crossbraces show to be unlevel and crooked after its constructed.
