I bought this one along with the rest amps Hotone develops and its one of the most enjoyable things I have laid my hands on.. From slightly crunchy creamy tones all the way to scooped-mid ferociousness this thing seems to be able to handle it. The looks might be deceiving but this thing can get really loud (way more than bedroom loud). I cannot comment whether you can use it while practicing with a band because I lack this sort of experience, however since I do have the most enjoyable time at home playing with it, it most definitely serves the purpose. Having checked that with my guitar teacher at some point he was pleasantly surprised at how good it sounds on his Japanese Strat. Putting in front of it a high-gain humbucker and it is as if a monster is unleashed. I also like the FX loop on the back and the fact that you can plug it in on literally any speaker available. while it is sort of a one-trick pony it is highly recommended.Read full review

I find the amp works as described only problem I have found is trying to find a speaker that works with an amp of this size. I'm sure there is an 8" in guitar speaker that would truly bring out the tonality of this amp, but I haven't found it yet. Besides this point everything works just as described. Maybe a link from the manufacturer or a speaker box they could make and sell separately would be helpful. For me it would faster and cheaper to buy a more expensive lunchbox style amplifier that works with sll speakers then hunt for a speaker that compliments the amplifier.

It really does sound like the rectifier amp of Mesa Boogie, very nice harmonic overtones. I use it with a 1 x 10 with tuning ports that performs like a 1 x 12 with a Celestion G 10. At full volume it was great for a large room and sounded well enough to record. Turn the gain down and it cleans up quite a bit. Effects loop works fine and it also has a 1/8' input, too. It also worked without any noise through my modified sine wave solar power and humbucker guitar. Amazing little 5 x 3 x 3 amp. This is the sound I wanted!!

I was pretty skeptical when a Chinese solid state mini amp said it offered Boogie tone for a fraction of the cost. For a hundred bucks, it's worth a try. After listening to a bunch of different comparisons on YouTube, I took the plunge. The amp by itself isn't that loud or awesome. It is lacking in the treble department, and was really hard to add treble even with the treble knob turned all the way up. I added a 7 band EQ pedal in the effects loop, and that really made the difference. If you get one, don't expect that awesome Mesa tone without a little tweaking. Use the Heart Attack for distortion, and add your other effects in the loop. This is solid state, and doesn't play well with OD, Distortion, Metal, etc. However, echo, reverb, chorus, and others work just fine. I use it mostly for rhythm, and kick a boost on my Egnater Rebel for leads. The Heart Attack will punch out lead, but sounds way better for rhythm. Also, this thing is TINY!!! It is about the size of a BOSS pedal, so it travels extremely well. Put it on a 12" speaker with an EQ in the effects loop, and start jamming.Read full review

I read reviews & watched a lot of youtube clips about this amp before I bought it. The reviews were pretty spot on. I'm using a 16 ohm 412 cab. it's very loud in a bedroom setting, but would get buried by the drums live. Thats OK, its 5 watts & I bought it to record. however, I could see it being used live if it was mic'd up. Keep in mind this amp is a one trick pony... crunch for days.. but thats all I wanted it for

This little amp is a blast to use. I run it through a 2x12 cabinet. The effects loop is great! Crank this thing up for some killer tones! Perfect for at home Jamming. Sits right on top of my JMP. Awesome amp for the price of a pedal!

So I dumped a Micro Dark Terror for this little guy. Granted it's not as loud as the 20 watt terror, it sounds sooooooooo much better! What I find really nice is that there are no dead spots on the knobs, from the gain, the tone stack, and right through to the volume. This thing has balls, and holds its own without getting muddy even when it's dimed.

This little amp provides a great metal tone for a very low price. You will not be playing any stadiums with it but it does a great job of giving you a nice beefy tone at living room volumes.

Great little amp that gives you that great gain sound even at low volumes and can drive a 12" cab no problem if you want. Worth every penny at this price.
