    It just works

    Whilst the setup instructions tells you not to use extension leads to make the circuits, it has no effect on mine. I live in a small cul de sac which is surrounded via several other houses each with their own wifi signals and causing loss of signal everywhere. I can't even get a strong signal from one room to another, less than 15 feet away and an open door. My router is plugged directly into a mains socket in my dining room, next to the phone socket where by cable boardroom comes into the house. I used the through plug on the device so I didn't lose a plug socket and then plugged a lan cable into the 1st adapter and the router. The 2nd unit is plugged into my garden room, that has power via a 30 metre extension lead. Plugged the 2nd adapter into the socket and then connected the tv box and it connected at 135MPS within a few minutes. Great The 3rd unit went upstairs into the loft and plugged into yet another extension lead. I then ran 2 ethernet cables down into my kids bedrooms for their computers and suddenly both were streaming netflicks without any issues. No buffering or dropped signal at all, unlike the wifi. I have completely ditched the wifi now and plugged switchs in at the ends of the cables in the bedrooms and they have hard wired their computers / play stations / etc and I no longer get condtaint complaints about them not being able to access the web.

    Talk talk D-Link adaptor set-up problems

    Great difficulty in getting them to pair up eventually concluded it was due to interference from nearby alarm system. Hence did not work over the same distance of circuit as Comtrend adaptors previosly owned. Once paired reliable and tolerable to mains interuptions and inputs and outputs being removed and replaced. Also they are electrically quieter than Comtrend and do not interfere with my audio systems. Biggest advantage for me is provision of two ethernet sockets.
