I've been using it for about 2 years. processor seems a bit slow, but adequate if you set it before you start driving. voice command works great. can use it to answer your phone via Bluetooth, but I don't. can use it to adjust volume or brightness or view map, and other stuff. I always keep mine plugged in. battery lasts about an hour or two. haven't tested the battery too much. suction cup lasts forever in all temperatures if you moisten it first. I have it mounted on my pickup truck windshield and it kind of blocks some of my field of vision, but it can be turned sideways out of the way and then turned back. disconnects easily from mount, but NEVER falls off by accident. pc software and machine updates are easy to use. had to change the stock voice (included for free) because it sounded laughably sad and depressing. large amount of free and fun cursors to choose from. sometimes it will route me through some convoluted way to my destination because it's picking the most direct route. Unit doesn't "learn" the preferred routes to use between common destinations. I always double check the overall map before I blindly follow the gps. tells a lot of info: altitude, time of day, total distance, map and gps coordinates. timers, stop watch, odometers, speed limit, upcoming gas stations, grocery stores and restaurants, etc. DOES NOT WARN/BEEP audibly when exceeding the speed limits! just flashes red. warns about upcoming school zones mispronounces a word wrong every now and then. after an update, my machine started mispronouncing "after". gives you plenty of warnings about when to turn or exit a freeway, both visually and audibly. Super wide range in volume! you can crank it up obnoxiously loud, or set it to a whisper, or somewhere in between.Read full review

I bought this GPS to replace an older Magellan GPS I have that has similar features. I didn't find the setup information to be all that great and as a result I had to rely upon my best guess to get it set up. Frankly, I don't think it is set up the way it should have been set up, but I did get it running. Maybe I am just too used to the appearance and functionality of the Magellan, but when I took the Garmin out for a ride in my car, I found it more of a distraction than a help. The voice activation was just so-so. I struggled to enter all of the addresses from my Magellan to the Garmin nuvi. After getting some of them onto the device, I realized that I couldn't find them in order to use them when driving. After a few weeks of playing around with it, I put my older Magellan back in the car. When I have some time, I'm going to try to wipe the nuvi clean and start the process all over again. I really want this GPS to work because I think the graphics are very cool and some of the voice commands could be quite helpful. For now, it sits in a box near my desk until I can figure it out.Read full review

Screen display is clear; this particular model can be voice activated. It is quickly responsive, and gives details (e.g. "turn at the traffic light") that make navigating easier. Only disappointment is that the map is out-of-date for some locations in my area. Although lifetime map updates are included, and I downloaded the newest available maps upon receipt, on a couple of occasions I have been directed to a store location that has changed, or the list of government offices does not include the one most convenient to my home, even though it has been located there for years!

I was able to quickly set up the unit. Sometimes the directions it uses are nerve racking, tells you to turn left when you know you should be going right but I have learned that it knows what it is doing. Like when flying a plane, your brain tells you one thing, while the panel tells you differently. Trust the instrument. I like the school zone warning, don't want to hurt one of those little critters and the traffic congestion avoidance is terrific.

This is a replacement to an older garmin that quit working after several years. Used, technical refurb unit, reloaded with 2019 maps. Has all the features I need. I like the Voice Command feature and lifetime maps. Gives good directions and reroutes quickly. However, some times it does not turn on and I have to give it several tries. I’m well pleased.

I like the usability of this GPS. It's a great value for the unit. If there was one thing I would criticize about it, it's that the screen could be brighter. I have the setting turned all the way up. My other Garmin has a brighter screen. Sometimes on bright days it can be tricky to see as clear.
