Good basic Eskrima stick although a bit heavy for my taste. I bought this primarily to use as a cane when walking around and it works well for that. Nobody pays attention to an old guy walking with a cane so I can have a personal defense weapon at the ready, very much like my forefathers did. On the plus side, this stick is the right length for my height as a cane, it is stylish looking as a cane and it is very sturdy. I also have another pair I usa as a training tool to strengthen arms, wrists and grip, very similar in weight with natural Kamagong sticks. To help relieve the weight issue, I trimmed off one 4-inch section off my practice sticks and they are fine. I use them for Sinawali, Pinki-Pinki and other Eskrima drills. I prefer a lighter stick for faster delivery and easier multiple strikes. I take this with me when I walk my little dog. Lightweight, easy to carry, strong enough to lean on when stooping down to pickup poop and also serves great deterrent for unwelcome 2 and 4 legged visitors.

The stick is very light and tough. I don't know if every one of these sticks has a slight curvature like the one I received but it's not that noticeable unless you examine it closely. I'm happy overall just wish it was perfectly straight.

Great stick, well thought out. Can be used in multiple disciplines. You can easily adjust the length to fit your needs. Feel and weight is more towards hard wood than rattan. Only problem is the grip is sometimes a little slippery but so is hard wood, it's an easy fix.
