NotesGood News is comprised of Al Magill (lead), his wife Laurie Magill (tenor), Russ Sears (baritone) and Mark Berkey (Bass). The Lord has surely brought us together in a miraculous way, and we are in awe of how He continues to provide for our needs as we travel and sing. Although we sing mostly southern gospel cover songs, we also write our own original songs and we like to 'Good Newsitize' familiar hymns into beautiful acapella melodies. Some recent comments from our listeners have been, 'your harmonies are so tight, we couldn't tell who was singing which part'! 'We loved it that we could hear and understand your lyrics - that is the most important thing to us'. 'The way that you smile and light up the stage when you sing is so inspiring'. We can attribute some of these compliments from the technical skills we have learned from attending the Steve Hurst School of Music in Nashville, TN for 3 years, however, when it comes right down to it, it is the Lord who gives the abilities that we have. As we travel and sing to various venues, our first goal is to please the Lord. If our songs touch the hearts of our listeners, we are blessed. The most important thing in this life is to make the decision to commit your life to Christ, following Him in salvation and a personal relationship. We hope that our ministry will inspire others to believe and follow Christ.
