Later he discovered The Beatles, Joni Mitchell, Simon & Garfunkel, and Jonathan Winters. Craig has shared the stage with more than 100 acts including: Mose Allison, Karla Bonnoff, Jonatha Brooke, Bruce Cockburn, Paula Cole, Ry Cooder, Catie Curtis, Crash Test Dummies, Donovan, Robben Ford, Peter Himmelman, John Hiatt, John Klemmer, Leo Kottke, Patty Larkin, Little Feat, Little River Band, Michael McDonald, Danny O'Keefe, Boz Skaggs, Toad The Wet Sprocket, Richard Thompson, Tim Weisberg and Warren Zevon. Artists that have recorded Craig's songs include: Trisha Yearwood, Kathy Matea, Lorrie Morgan, Sons Of The Desert, Kate Markowitz, Andrea Zonn, Steve Seskin, Berkley Hart, and Peter, Paul and Mary. CD releases include: "Home Remedy," "Air Mail Blue," "Craig Carothers Trio Featuring Gary Ogan and Tim Ellis," "Acoustic Set," "The Card," "One Revolution," and his newest "Craig Carothers Solo." Quotes: " ...he excels at creating smart, memorable material and putting it across with abundant personality" -Birmingham News "...the right mix of weary-eyed cynicism and helpless hearted romanticism..." -Performing Songwriter Magazine "He has a voice that should be famous." -Patty Larkin "Who? Never heard of him." -John Prine.
