Bought these to replace dim yellow factory OEM bulbs (also from Sylvania). They put out much brighter, whiter light and are much safer. I’m very satisfied. Note that OEM standard, bottom of the line Sylvania bulbs are rated at 300 life hours. These are rated at 125. The life is diminished due to higher output, however, the 2 other mid line models are only 100 hrs. It makes more sense to just buy these. The slight extra cost for these are worth it.

I use these for my brights, unfortunately using HID or LED for the brights provides you with horrible lighting during rain and snow storms. These lights provide just enough yellow to be much more effective than the other types I mentioned.

These are excellent lights. I've used these specific bulbs as replacements for several years and have been totally satisified with the light output shining down the road as well as the brightness. Whiter lights than ordinary yellow lights but they're not the "bluish white" lights. I've been using these Sylvania Silverstar Ultras for over 20 years. I installed them on a brand new Dodge Intrepid I purchased in 1999, installed them on another brand new Inrepid I purchased in 2004, and have just recently installed them on my 2011 Ford Taurus. Whiter and brighter then stock but don’t expect LED or HID whiteness. If you don’t want to mess around with mounting extra ballists for HID’s or trying to figure out how to get LED’s to fit your housing this is your best bet.
