I got this Kirby Turbo Brush to go with my Kirby Heritage vacuum cleaner. Any Kirby Heritage vacuum cleaner with the "Turbo" logo on the handle would have shipped with one. Like other attachments of this type, the Kirby Turbo brush has a revolving cylindrical brush roll that is turned by the air passing through the brush. Now, I have used (or should I say tried to use) some turbo brushes that simply didn't work. This is not one of those. Coupled to the Kirby vacuum cleaner for which it was designed, it is unstoppable. Except for the fact that it doesn't make any noise, you'd swear it had an electric motor. I would assume this turbo brush would work just as well with any other Kirby model as well as other brands that use the same size hose fitting and have similar suction strength but as they say, your actual mileage may vary. These turbo brushes are a little on the rare side as they were only offered for two years from 1982-84 before being replaced by the rotary action Zip brush, which was offered alongside every Kirby model made since then, from the Heritage II, right up to today's Avalirs.Read full review
