The detail on the body, chassis, and wheels is crisp, and these parts are nicely molded and fit well. The detail on the engines is a bit soft. The mold registration was poor on some of the sprues, especially the chromed ones, resulting in misshapen, poorly fitting small parts requiring a lot of careful work to clean up. The pad-printed whitewalls on the tires are not properly centered. The winch on the tow frame is toy-like rather than realistic.

This is a great kit and always has been. This kit was originally tooled in 1961 and we are lucky to have this kit available to us for modeling. There is a lot of stuff in there and the body is really nice for a kit of this vintage. Others have not given such a great rating, but it is simply not fair to hold it up to a standard of kits that are produced today. This kit builds up into a great model with lots of possibilities.
