In short, I'm happy. Yes, it's a lot of money, but this is a macro, landscape, and low light (fast) all in one. It's a lot of glass for a single focal length and you'll see how all that glass comes together to give you a sharp image from six inches to a mile away. AF is quick and I think you'll find the 16mm (24mm equivalent) focal length very useful if you like landscapes, architecture, or even street photography.

I read a lot about this lens. Some say it is legendary. Some even say this is the best lens they have ever used. After using it for just a week, here is what I think about it.... It is a fairly big lens. 16-80 size. Not super heavy. But noticeable. I am using it on a Fuji X-S10. Image quality is excellent. For the price, it better be! Very easy to get used to with the clutch for manual and auto focus. Auto focus is noisy. Good thing I record audio with a separate recorder. It is noticeable when using the recorder on the camera. Overall, the autofocus is better than usual. Not as quick as say the 16-80 or the other newer prime lenses by Fuji....better than some but not all. Not a big deal as it is a wide lens and so focus comes quickly. Manual focus is spot on. I love the fact that the focus ring does not spin forever. This is a very fun lens to use. I use it with both auto and manual focus and using it is satisfying knowing that the images are going to be way better than average. This lens can almost be qualified as a macro lens....it is very versatile. I can get as close as 6 inches for a shot. Images that close are clear and detailed. Really good for street shooting. Very little if any distortion and just a tad bit of chromatic aberration which goes away as F stop is raised. Is it the super lens that everyone says it is? Depends. On you and your shooting style. It is an OK video lens...not great but very close. Excellent night lens. F1.4 makes that happen. Feels like quality. Build is excellent. Glass is superb. Boca is bocalicious. Image quality is right up there with some of the best. Autofocus noise kind of cuts into video quality. I agree with Ken Wheeler, the angry photographer. If you are a still photographer, this is a must have king of the hill lens for Fuji. If you do video...there are better choices but this lens can do excellent video if you allow for separate recording of audio. YMMVRead full review

I'm really enjoying this lens. I especially like the ability to focus to within inches of the lens, it's practically a macro lens as well as a wide angle! The ability to get great shots in low light is awesome too. Overall, I take too many pictures with this lens because it's way too easy to get good shots!

Haven’t used it enough but noticed it misses focus on some shots. Probably user error. When it’s on, it’s great! Often average and feels way overpriced though. Also quite heavy and large, which often leads me to grab my 16 2.8 over this one as well as a 50 f2 when traveling and wanting to keep compact yet still high quality.

I love the Fujifilm X system! They have what I think is the best crop-sensor system on the market, with the widest selection of lenses. I particularly love their wide aperture lenses, the newly-purchased 16mm f1.4, 35mm f1.4 & 56mm f1.2.

This lens is now my coveted prized possession. I heard and read how great this lens is and thought that "might be too much hype" But I love the wide angle as it renders more of a photo journalistic perspective (more of what I do). Add to that the sharpness and great contrast and I have a Winner. I'm sure you will to if you get this lens.

I’ve had quite a few Fuji lenses, but this 16mm f1.4 is remarkable. I don’t think I’ll ever take it off of my X-T4. Sharp, fast focus, low light effortlessly, and a wide-angle that sometimes think it’s a macro. You can’t go wrong.

One of the two best X-mount lenses Fuji has made (the 35 1.4 being the other) - sharp, fast focusing, amazing faded bokeh...just, you cannot go wrong with this lens. the one draw back might be - it's largeish. so, be prepared for that :)

Stellar images. I already owned a 35mm and 23mm, but didn't like the 23mm look. Bought this one and haven't picked up the 23mm since. Provides the wide angle with no discernible warping to the untrained eye, and captures exceptionally sharp images.
