The 40 series has a low rumble at idle and the tone off idle is far better than other mufflers. There is no noise inside the cab. (I'm talking about the true 40 series - Not the Delta Flow which is too quiet.) I strongly recommend tail pipes that run all the way to the back after the muffler INSTEAD OF the turned down pipes right off the muffler which many people are doing nowadays??? The "turn downs" give a LOT of noise inside the vehicle. The last 40 Series I bought lasted about 8 years before the rest of the exhaust rusted off INCLUDING the two outlets on the muffler! 8 years out of an exhaust system is pretty good if you ask me... You wont regret getting this muffler!
