It’s foot impact friendly and not too soft. I can use it as a work surface on a table top and or on the floor on my knees even in shorts. It’s gaps stop small parts from being lost when dropped, like keys at the door or nuts and bolts at the work table or on the floor at the vise work bench. The older it gets the softer touch friendly it becomes.
