The blade steel is excellent (S30V!!) and the pocket carry weight is good at just under 4 ounces. The blade length (3.47") deploys with the flick of a finger and retrieves and drops back into the knife with a soft wrist motion. The jimping for the thumb on the thumb ramp as well as the index finger in the choil provides a very secure feel and blade control. The textured G-10 handles feel good and seem to provide adequate "gription" for me. Finally the compression lock is simply the best. I had an Endura 4 but could never quite master one handed open and close because I would sometimes not quite get a finger moved out of the way of blade as it was closing. So after cutting my fingers several times I just had to return it. The compression lock brings the fingers up toward the pivot and by actuating the lock release it naturally pulls the fingers up and makes it nearly impossible to cut my fingers. I have no problem giving this knife 5 stars but 2 minor nits for me are the knife comes out of the box set up for tip down carry (yuk) however the clip can be refastened for tip up for right or left hand -- just a bit of a hassle to move. The other minor peeve is that the clip does not allow for as deep a carry as I like with almost 3/4" of the knive end protruding above the pocket however I am aware that many prefer some of the knife above the pocket as it offers a bit more to grab for a quicker deployment.Read full review

Great ergos, fit & finish, DLC coating looks gorgeous, G10 with good traction. No blade play and blade swung freely when lock disengaged. However there´s one little problem. I´m left handed and when I was trying to put clip on the left side I realized that there were no internal threads in the holes for clip screws so I can use the clip only on the right side. Thinking about sending knife to Spyderco for warranty service to see if they can fix it. however I´m from Slovakia so I´m curious about shipping charges.

This is a great edc knife. Just the right size and weight. From cutting cardboard to rope and fruit works great. It's not flashy, so you won't be drawing unwanted attention from democrats either. Easy enough to keep sharp too. You won't go wrong with this one if you know quality. That's all I have to say about that......Enjoy

Great knife. I have been a Spyderco fan for 20+ years. I have purchased two of these knives and both have performed as expected for a Spyderco. This is a quality knife that is worth the time. The grip is very good wet and dry. The blade stays sharp and it conceals well. I have had no problems with the locking mechanics for over 2 years now. For the price, I would not recommend leaving home without one.

Made in America by Spyderco, the Paramilitary 2 has excellent ergonomics at a great size. It's durable and should last nearly forever with proper maintenance. I can't think of many knives at a similar price point that come even close to the PM2. All in all, highly recommended.
