This part was not available in local parts stores, was told dealer part only. This part fit exactly like OEM. A tip to make this an effortless install, apply a bit of light grease or oil on the inside lip of the large opening only and it will press on by hand much easier. This boot worked excellent for my G56 trans.

My boot tore like most everyone else's. I bought a Dorman CV boot to hack in like most people do but when I came across this one I thought I'd try it. The price is right. Seems to be of equal quality to the one I'm replacing but I hope it lasts longer. I will say the one I received was not packaged like is pictured. It came in a mailing bag by itself. It was mishapen a little bit but I was able to make it round again. Had no trouble at all installing it. Very good fit. I'll check it here and there to see if it tears and likely buy it again if I need to. I would recommend at least trying it before trying to make a CV boot fit in it's place.

Much thicker and sturdier feeling than the oem that had started leaking. I usually go with oem parts, but the dealership wanted over $150 for the boot. I was impressed with the fit and feel at 10% of the oem price. Hopefully it’ll last as long or longer than the original. Only time will tell but I’m hopeful
