Heavy, beautiful and quality merchandise! Easy to assemble following directions.
Took 3 hours to put together. Only problem I had was you should say it needs supported underneath the middle while the back gets nailed on so that it stays together. Once I put a support under each side of the middle I had no problem with it. Love it. For our dark cherry new king size bedroom suite. Matches perfectly! A great bookshelf and looks professionally made. Hard to tell the back is not real wood. With books on it you won't be able to tell. Sauder makes great quality products. I bought a desk and lighted hutch for above it over 20 years ago and still using it today. Heavy furniture. Hight quality. Can't go wrong with Sauder. Directions were great and pieces labeled.

A cheaply made product.
This bookcase was very time consuming to put together. I gave it three stars because the top part wouldn't connect with the sides. There were gaps with the shelves and the decor shelves. I had bought two, I put one together and then I asked my Son- law for help with the other one and he had the same problems that I had with mine. I would not recommend this to anyone but I already spent my money on it and I will use it for my paperbacks.

EZ assembly, looks great when finished and up against the wall.
Follow the directions and it will be easy to assemble. One person is all it takes. Make sure that all parts are locked securely in place. If not it can come apart when it is turned over or picked up. The design and the color are impressive making a very handsome piece of furniture. .

A beautiful bookcase! Excellent packaging. Everything arrived intact and very quickly. Finally a piece of furniture that required very few tools to assembly and the first time I have gotten a set of instructions that made sense and were easy to follow. All parts were clearly marked to match the instructions. Did not take long to assemble by myself and it looks absolutely beautiful in my living room.
