I've just added my third one of these Hampton Bay Solar post lamps. The first two are now 3 years old and still working fine. Note about solar powered lights: They need bright sunshine to work effectively. Short winter days and cloudy, snow or rain days have an effect on how long the lights last thru the night. Knowing that, don't put them in the shade! Second note is to wash the solar collector once in a while to maximize the charging. Long bright Summer days yield a full battery charge that lasts until dawn. Anything less and the light dims out before dawn, which is fine by me. I didn't buy the expensive $39,00 lamp posts, I used 3" grey PVC electrical conduit, which I painted black. Would I buy them again, YES. They are the best solar light I could find at a reasonable price.

I bought one over a year ago from Home Depot and was very pleased with it. This will make a nice addition to the other one. The only problem with these Hampton Bay lights is that the battery dies and it will, is not available. If you are handy you can get a standard similar battery and add the wires from the old battery.

Was able to order a duplicate of what I had, just wish it was brighter. Remember to turn the on switch on and let the sun work for a day
