The product is a little stiffer than expected, but hopefully it will hold up for another ten years or so. There were no instructions included, but installation is pretty straight forward for anyone with average mechanical skills. I first removed the screw-in antenna, then I jacked up the front right of the vehicle, removed the right front tire, and then the protective plastic mud/stone shield which exposed the antenna. I removed the anchor bolt for the antenna, clearing the mounting hole for the adapter base. After cleaning off all loose material from the new base, I lubricated the inside of the base where it would hold the antenna with a small amount of Vaseline. I then carefully slide the base into the fender hole pushing down all around to seat it against the fender. Then I replaced the antenna and anchored back into place. I reassembled all the remaining parts including tire, then reattached the screw-in antenna. The whole procedure took about an hour and a half, but I was taking my time not wanting to damage anything!Read full review

The quality is ok but the antenna adapter base size of width is too wide, very hard to install it, not good fit to the car body, fortunately I am handyman doing car repair also so took me a long time to push it in but both side have a gap.

The rubber grommet fit well on my 2008 Toyota Sienna. Definitely more rubbery than a factory piece but it looks good and did it’s job. No more antenna flapping around .

Easier to install because it is made of a soft material. The previous one I bought was of a hard plastic and super difficult to install. It only lasted 6 years too. We'll see how long this lasts.

The material was very stiff and would not fit in the opening in my Toyota Sienna antenna slot. I ended up trimming it extensively to try to make it fit. Enclosed is an image of the trimming I had to do to get it to just barely fit. I sent a comment back to supplier about the problem. They said they would send out another. As of today 11/26/19 I have not received a replacement. Maybe they realized all of them are too stiff (or possibly old materials). I suggest looking for another supplier that provides a more compliant material that fits more easily.

I tried install the antenna ornament on the antenna. It would not fit. I had to trim the inside of the ornament. There was too much material inside. The ornament had to be removed, extra material trimmed, reinstalled & tested several times before it actually fit. The excess material inside the ornament was tight, rigid & difficult to remove without making a gauge. I had to place the ornament outside in 100 degree weather to let it sit for 3 hours before it became pliable enough to install.

2005 Sienna LE-Orig. grommet disintegrated. Flopping antenna was grounding, causing reception issues. Unscrewed mast W/ 7mm wrench, removed Rt. Frt. Wheel, removed (4)-10mm screws at bottom rear of inner fender splash shield & popped loose a few clips, pulled back shield enough to get to 10mm bolt holding antenna in place. Then pulled antenna down, removed remainder of old grommet, put a thin coating of white grease inside of replacement and around the flange along the outside edge. Slipped replacement down into bottom off hole in fender, pushed down slightly on top edge and squeezed sides and it slipped right in flush, no problem. Slid antenna back in from below and re-assembled everything. Perfect fit. Nice part at a 5th of the cost from Toyota!

The new base was new and used to replace a broken and brittle base on my van.

I found the part to be not flexible enough to install easily, but when I fought with it enough it went in. It does serve its purpose.

Least my old 2006 van found a part, but just the base part too hard. Tried different ways still had about 1/3'' of top could not fit in. It was not perfect but better than nothing.
