The RTX 3090 in general is a bit overkill for 4k gaming and a lot of mundane multimedia consumption and production. It is however currently the king of the hill in terms of what consumer level cards are capable of handling. If you do have a heavy graphics / rendering workloads or lofty graphics goals in gaming it will get you there. If you're not aiming to edit / render complex projects, or game at 4k144, 8k60, etc, then just relax and find a 3070 or 3080 instead. For my uses editing video it cut render times on projects by as much as 80% coming from a GTX 1080ti, and plays every game I have on ultra at 4k 120 without any hiccups. Actually smaller than the GTX 1080ti it replaced, and ran off the same dual 8 pin plugs. As expensive as it is capable, it's a value for those that need it.

The XLR8 RTX 3090 by PNY is a solid and reliable high-performance graphics card with a well designed air cooling system with heat pipes and a radiator with a large surface area. This card can be overclocked to improve performance, and it stays relatively stable even when overclocked and under a heavy workload. After reading other reviews written on this product, it became obvious that far too many folks don't know the basics of writing reviews. When reviewing a product, the last factor to consider is the value for your money, which is subjective in nature and not a factor which should determine a product's rating. The technical aspects of the item which CAN be objectively rated should be the focus of a review. Prices of products change frequently, but that has absolutely no impact on the physical performance of a product like a graphics card, thus it should not affect the overall rating. Far too many people ignore all of the important aspects of the card's performance when rating it, and only focus on the price/value of the item, giving an expensive card (due to a shortage or high demand) a very poor rating. This is complete disregard for every important aspect of the card, and it doesn't inform future buyers in a logical way. Every intelligent person can decide for themselves whether or not a product is worth the price being asked for the item. Read full review

I needed a card that performs well at both workstation and gaming needs and while the 3090 isn't quite the #1 card on the market, it does outstanding at both. 24GB of VRAM is fantastic for AI work, it can do anything the 4090 Ti can (just not as quickly). Took some fiddling with the connectors to get it to work but I think that's to be expected with a used card. After a driver update UserBenchmark rated it in the 48th percentile of 3090 test results which seems great for a used card.

The 3090 is the cream of the crop. The PNY edition is awesome as well. Super impressed with PNY as a company in this purchase, and would highly recommend this card to anyone. It plays games amazingly, and makes Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Davinci Resolve, and other professional programs super fast. It looks amazing as well!
