I was torn between getting a 17" or 15 " laptop. HP or Dell. I've had both. I chose this Dell because I really like the speed of this machine. i7 processor, 8 gig ram, and solid state drive. Seems very durable, and will last. I took the original conventional hard drive out, and replaced it with a 256 ssd drive. That made it faster to go along with the ram and processor. Another pro I like is the backlit keyboard. For me, that's a plus for night viewing. I don't need an extra light to see keyboard. The price was affordable too. Buying refurbished is the way to go. This laptop new, retails for over 600.00. The seller pointed out a flaw in the unit, a slight burn in, but couldn't really tell, only if you're looking for it. The other flaw was no O.S. which was not a problem for me, as I installed an ssd, and the os as well. Good experience overall. Now, I'm looking for a laptop case.Read full review
