I have the original leather man multitool. I just got my Gerber dime multitool a few weeks ago. I never carry my leather man unless I actually plan on using it that day. It’s too large do you carry in your pocket if you’re not planning on using it that day. The Gerber is the perfect size to always have in your pocket in case you might need it that day. I like how each attachment as a detent and it snaps into position. No looseness or wobble. I can use every tool on the Gerber dime, and there are no attachments on the dime that I won’t be using. On my leather man, there are a couple things that I have never used, and I have owned my leather man for over 25 years now. The leather man Is the total to Carrie if you are going to be working with that tour that day for sure. The Gerber on the other hand is the tool to carry if you’re not planning on using your multi tool that day, but just in case, you’ll be glad you have something to open that package, Cut out that coupon, open that box, cut that piece of tape clean, open that packet of catch-up, get that plastic seal off of that wine bottle cork.
