the Work Sharp is a very handy portable size great choice of belts for grinding to sharpening, the adjustable speed and lock works well for the hands free. Taking off the head is easy and changing belts is very quick and easy, tracking adjustment and angle degree is also a breeze to adjust. I find that the grinder attachment is better for making sure that the knife edge is always moving away from the edge, where as using the head that comes with the work sharp when you go to sharpen the right side of a blade the belt is going towards the edge, so you could potentiality cut into a belt or catch the knife edge and damage it. Using the grinder attachment eliminates that by let you reverse the direction as there are no guides blocking you from going from right to left.

Ive been using ken onion sharpeners for 3 years now. Best blades ove ever used are in better shape now then ever. Bought the blade grinder. Now ive also got the sharpest tools ever. I use it for multiple things. Like machetes and garden tools. Lawn mower blades. Whatever i think needs to be sharp. Have never been able to get results like this item does. I started with the standard Work Sharp model and moved to the Ken Onion edition to have better control of the angle. I have had countless types of sharpeners over the years(50+) and this blade sharpener attachment is by far the best I have used. If you have pretty good dexterity, you can put an edge on nearly anything in fairly short order.
