Great lens for full frame or crop. Great bokeh for close ups and super sharp close to wide angle. I use this lens for stage show photography from stage left and get excellent results in all lighting situations. Combining this lens with the Canon 70 - 200 f2.8 is a perfect match. The G2 series of lenses are all superb. I have had the 150-600, also Canon mount, since 1/17. And have read reviews and lens tests on the 70-200 f/2.8 which show that it matches up very well against the superb Canon and Nikon lenses. This Tamron, like many of the new 24-70 2.8's has an 82mm front element, so it takes larger filters than the common 77mm size of many pro lenses. It also outweighs the Canon by a few ounces.
