Caramel, is not a typical caramel color. I expected a golden brownish shade as depicted by the name. It is pale and of the pink family, toward a nude color. Also, in regard to the Lancôme le crayon lip liner in Cognac. You cannot rely on the name of the liner. Again, I took a chance and ordered it. What they deem as Cognac, is a pink coral based shade. Not at all an earth color I was expecting. Buyer Beware. I hope this helps fellow make up lovers.
