Battery Draining Machine
This is a battery draining machine. With two fresh batteries and in the off position they'll be drained to zero in two days. I've tried it several different ways in various configurations and its always the same result.

To be able to use common batteries when you need to.
I have had this camera for so many years I do not even remember and I have used up a few batteries and they always go bad when you need them the most. Since these are not typical batteries the ability to use common AA batteries is a godsend when needed. I now keep this and a package of renewable batteries for when the Nikon battery goes flat when I need it. Yes I keep a spare Nikon battery but with flash use I have at time drained them both. And those batteries do age over time. Having an option if you use your camera for work is vital. I am very happy I purchased this.
