The Celestron 1.25-inch Eyepiece and Filter Kit includes 14 different accessories that will enhance the capabilities of your telescope. Five high-quality Plossl eyepieces and a 2x Barlow lens offer 10 different magnifications levels from 3mm to 32mm equivalents. A moon filter makes it easier to observe the moon by dimming the brightness and increasing the contrast of your telescope. Six colored filters reveal all the nuances of each observable planet. The blue filter is designed for Jupiter, the red or orange filter fits Mars, etc. The kit also comes with a foam-fitted aluminum carry case with extra room.
It really brings out the detail of celestial bodies. Jupiter is great with the 4 moons clearly visible with my Skyprodigy 130 with the 6mm lens with the Barlow lens attached. Focusing is very tricky but possible with such magnification. Would be great if they could cut more slots in the foam for the extra lenses supplied with the telescope. The case is sturdy and strong, just the glue of the foam is weak. Otherwise great set with remarkable results!
I bought this for my grandson for Christmas so he hasn't use it but I was looking at the case and it looks wonderful. I contacted seller about a guide to indicate what lens are used to see stars or moon and they were not helpful at all. My grandson is a beginner and doesn't know how to use the lens
The filters set that came in this case look like good quality, but as I read in a review. not all telescope would benefit from then. The review said, that to get better result from then the aperture should be bigger than 5 inches which is exactly the side of my telescope.
Good selection of 1-1/4 inch eyepieces and accessories for beginning astronomer. Barlow 2X lens is older style, but serviceable. All items were clean, with no scratches or damage.
