L-OptiZinc, 30mg, is formulated with the amino acid methionine, for high bioavailability, & is longer-lasting within the body, than other forms. This supplement includes .3mg Copper, which supports the balance between Zinc and Copper, as zinc can deplete copper, if zinc is taken in higher doses, e.g. 75mg daily for winter protection of oncoming colds, would deplete copper, without its addition. SO, taking a zinc supplement including copper is smart, especially when an increase in zinc is prudent
