This is a legit Microsoft product, at least as pictured and for the auction I got this from. Just remember that whatever computer you install this on, it can only be used for that one computer. It's somehow tied to the motherboard, the details of which can be found online. But for the low price (about 30 for me), this is a minor issue, especially if you're installing this on a newer computer. Win7 will only be supported until January 14, 2020 anyway, as of this writing.

When I installed it, there were not enough drivers included to operate even the most basic functions of my computer. I couldn't even manage to go online with an ethernet connection to my router to download drivers for various devices on my computer. I may have done something wrong when I installed it, but since the installation was "automatic", I don't know what I could have done differently. I've done full installs of operating systems before, specifically Windows 7, but I didn't have problems before. Could be something missing in my computer. A mystery to me! I'll try it again and hope for better results.

Quick shipping and good service. Product pretty much as described with cd and unused key. Although, i had to call the Microsoft activation line when i chose to verify the key later online during install process. Would recommend, very easy process

It installed smooth as silk. Installed Windows 7 without entering the Product Key during setup. Ran Windows Update and updated old/missing drivers from the Dell product page. Only then did I enter the Product Key to activate the install. No issues what-so-ever. Sure a darn site better than Windows 10 that came pre-installed on the refurbished laptop I'd bought.
