I bought this for my Leatherman wave, a Streamlight 2aa flashlight, and a micro Crescent wrench. It holds everything securely, my only gripe is that because of the universal fit, the pouch for the Leatherman is way too deep, which makes it impossible to get out with one hand. I bunched up a plastic shopping bag and shoved it to the bottom of the pouch, now I can reach my Leatherman and life is good.

I owned one of the original Pock-Its (regular size) and that thing was my best friend. Unfortunately, I had an accident and they had to cut it off me, to save my life. I wore it for years. After that I looked for years for a replacement and they just vanished. Finaly one day I came across the "new" version. This new XL version is horrible. Its like a cheap Chinese Knock-off, compared to the original. No more belt loop, now its just a cheap plastic clip that holds it in place. It holds it fairly strong, but I'd be afraid of losing my gear, because I am a very active guy. I'd say one wrong move and that cheap plastic could break off and leave your Pock-It on the ground. Normally that wouldn't be a problem, but people tend not to notice such things, until hours later. The XL version has a wider footprint and IMHO too much of a good thing. Its made for multi-tools like Gerber or Leatherman's or whatever. I was perfectly fine, with my Mag Lite and fishing knife. If they ever start making the old "standard" version, I'm going to buy a dozen and toss this one!!! Read full review

First let me say that if this rating includes the seller, the seller is 5 stars. The product on the other hand is what I had issues with. I had a previous model of the holster that was in need of being replaced. I looked around the web and only found this model, XL. In hopes of the xl being the same size I purchased it. Well newer is not necessarily better. The newer design, xl instead of large, is too long, too deep, and too wide. I placed my knife in the pocket and immediately sank to the bottom like a fishing anchor. Getting it out made me feel like Indiana Jones digging it out. I had to remove the holster from my belt to remove the knife. I placed my flashlight in the holster and the same thing happened. To have the holster work in the same manner as the previous model, I would need to either stuff about 1.5 inches of stuffing at the bottom of the holster or have that much sewn in at the bottom to avoid looking like Indiana Jones. The pockets that hold the flashlight or knife would also need to be tightened to replicate the previous model as well. Again, the material is sturdy. The design, for me, is too large, too wide and too long.Read full review

I use this 5 days a week at work, it's a great pouch to carry my light, leatherman n other items that I use multiple times a day. I wish niteize would make the bottom rubberized or something to make it a little sturdier as I usually end up with my mini-screwdriver sticking through it. (are you listening niteize ?)

Excellent size and design, holds my essential tools. The original design with mesh and Velcro instead of a cheesy clip worked much better and lasted much longer. My original lasted 10 years before the stitching failed. Hope to get As many out of the plastic clip. But friends say not likely.
