Let me just say, ignore the reviews that say this doesnt change your voice. NO voice changer will do this. You still have to pronounciate like lord vader to really make it sound good. Once you get it down it is spot on! Much smaller and lighter than it looks in the picture. I can easily fit it in the palm of my hand. The speaker i received will fit in a helmet and is decently loud. It doesnt get distorted if you yell either. The only feedback I got is when you put too much into your P's and S when you speak, once you learn to not do that I found that it has hardly any feedback. Are there better systems? Yes. But be ready to dish out 400+ dollars. You wont beat this quality for the price. Highly recommended.

Things hooked up okay and the testing worked fine. The AMP is a bit sensitive and once you get it dialed in , it works fine. The speaker is actually an external powered speaker. Sound quality is okay as well. Now when you are in a noisy place the AMP will need to be cranked up. This is where it begins to not be good. You can overdrive the speaker very easily and not even notice it. You will not mount this inside the helmet with your face in it. The thing is 3 inches thick and the size of a small doughnut. I built a little speaker holder on top of the chest lights so I have control of the device and easy access to charge it. I tried to hook up the Breathing sound generator and it swamped out the voice changer so bad. Not usable this way and I went into this figuring I was going to have to be this way. The pigtail has issues that allows you to put the two together. The setup was easy and adjusting was pretty straight forward. The mike is very sensitive and I highly recommend using the headset and foam wind cover. Kind of tough to adjust the mic when your head is in the helmet. The price is a bit high but it is a Star Wars item. Be ready to make some mods to your costume to fit this thing in.Read full review

Voice is barely recognizable, and volume control is temperamental and can only be set to 50 before after that loud noise interference and Ambient echoes and reverberations are heard which makes your voice uncomfortable to hear. There is a short in the canoe connections because there is a cracking sound each time the speaker cable is bumped, Production is durable, batteries lasted long, easily mounted in a helmet... I just wish it was a better voice result. For the price, as a professional cosplayer I expected better! I ended up having to turn the modulator off and just mimic Vader’s voice with a microphone myself, I was very disappointed in this product.

This is a decent product used properly. It could use an upgrade with the speaker and a pitch change for the voice. This would make it much better and more realistic. The people are great to work with as if there are any issues they will rectify anything wrong.
