When I buy something new I research everything to the nth degree. This machine was no exception. I considered laptops from Dell and HP as well. Almost bought the one from HP. But, I really wanted a touchscreen and stylus; I find them to be really useful. As with most laptops in this price range, you have to be prepared to make concessions. There is no Optane memory but, with the NVME hard drive, that really isn't an issue. This machine is really fast, even with the slow base processor speed. If you haven't bought a computer in a few years you will be amazed at how far things have come. This thing boots up in less than 5 seconds! And it contains tech usually reserved for higher end models like a fingerprint sensor and a thunderbolt port. Then, there is the price. I have always been a fan of factory refurbished products for this reason and have never had any issues. Plus, the 2 year warranty makes me feel good about taking a chance-most refurbished products have a 30 or 90 warranty. You get a lot of bang for your buck here. A $650 machine for $499 and then I got 15% off on top of that. It was a steal. If you are on the fence and need a computer for work or home and don't do anything like play games or edit videos, take a chance, you won't be disappointed. Read full review

The product had me happy for the first few minutes. Then I realized the screen was moving way too much with little effort. Just by standing up it would Flip almost over to tablet mode. Then the left click Started to stick. And now I am not able to Sign in using the fingerprint scanner. I contacted acer about these issues and just asked for it to be repaired or replaced I recieved a reply a couple of times asking questions I already given the answer to as well as photo proof. Then was told they would take it in for repair. That was the last I heard from anyone. Maybe if I had purchased it new I would be satisfied but this refurbish was a huge fail. Two thumbs down acer!!

Overall I am generally very happy with this product. - The processing speed is very good for the $ spent, the computer boots up very quickly and I often play games, watch videos/movies online and the computer has been able to handle that perfectly. - The touchscreen is very good, I am very happy with that. - The battery life is not terrible, but I have not been able to operate the computer for anywhere close to the 9 hours even when only surfing the internet & not playing games or watching movies. The battery seems to drain when I close the computer so I have just resorted to powering down the laptop instead of putting it to sleep. - As this was a refurninshed laptop, I was very happy with the condition with only one exception. There are no scratches, dents or any other blemishs when looking at the computer (looks brand new). However the mouse pad does not function perfectly. This is only a minor annoyance and the other benefits outweigh this one defect. Read full review

The computer is great, moves fast, great with wifi connection, can run multiple programs at once with no problem, beautiful screen, pen accessory is amazing and is extremely easy to use. Only problem is the screen is malfunctioning on occasion. I'm definitely returning it. However if it wasn't for that issue I'd definitely would be keeping it. I plan to get another asap.

The computer does far more than what I know to do. It was easy to set up, with good step by step verbal instructions. I do wish that there were some printed instructions, a manual with the computer so I could expand my ability to use the many options of this computer. Initially I thought it didn't have a battery included. When I called the SUPPORT # I was told about the hidden compartment at the bottom of the box. Support is very helpful.

Fast enough for my needs. Small and light enough to fit in my work bag, which my 15.6" did not. Touch screen is great for calculator app, and the tablet mode is a bonus for drawing and doodling. The track pad is way better than my HP x360 15.6" laptop/touchscreen tablet similar to this Acer spin2 in 1. It was not level when flipping the screen up normal view, but when the screen is closed, the laptop becomes level. Wonder if Acer did not put on correct rubber pads or the hinge is slightly off from the other side. Wish the power plug into the laptop was bigger, as it looks like it can break the power jack of the laptop. Wish the ram was upgradable, as 8gb sometimes I need that extra 8gb memory. Battery last around 6:30 hours with no sleep, no hibernation, no screen off mode. Else, I am enjoying it now!Read full review

Excellent value. Needed a Windows based laptop for pen entry (my iPad wasn't sufficient for what I needed). This was an excellent value alternative to the HP laptop I had considered purchasing. Fortunately, the touchscreen is very responsive when I use it with my Lazarite pen. Using in tablet mode laying flat on my desktop works well, but trying to use while holding in my lap is not comfortable due to it's weight. In fairness, my co-worker has the same complaint about their considerably more expensive Surface Book device. I don't need this for travel purposes. So, for working from home, the screen brightness is okay.

The product came in a brown box inside a protective sleeve and that's pretty much it. Out of the box, there were some scuff marks and smudges on the laptop, but after I wiped it, it was in clean condition. I did notice that the inputs ports (USB, HDMI) did have the paint on the frame chipped. I am guessing this was from inserting and removing these connections multiple times and it got scratched off. Since it is a refurbished laptop, I suppose this can't be helped. Other than that, the laptop seems to be in excellent condition. I did have some issues with the windows update when booting up. The finger print reader stopped working. I tried to look for a solution but nothing was working so I ended up re-installing windows. After a few days, everything seems to be working fine. The touch screen works well and the laptop has been smooth playing low spec games and streaming videos. So far I am happy with my purchase. Read full review

This is a 14" laptop-convertible aka 2-1, it works great, I use it for school, browsing etc. i have used it on older games(Everquest, diablo 1&2), while its not the greatest for games at its 14" size, it does work well enough for this dual purpose.
