The Alfa Romeo 8C can be considered one of the most famous sports cars of the 1930s. The name of the car derives from the power unit adopted: a supercharged 2,336 cc in-line 8-cylinder engine with compressor that became an icon in the automotive panorama of the period. The 8C could in fact be considered the "state of the art" in terms of technology, technical solutions and performance. Characterized by extraordinary road holding and excellent reliability, Alfa Romeo achieved significant sporting victories on numerous international circuits and linked its name to the famous Mantuan driver Tazio Nuvolari. Among the best known feats the victory in the Targa Florio in 1931 and in the Italian Grand Prix. This last victory also contributed to the name of the two-seater GP car which, to celebrat.
